Would you believe us if we told you every single time we start an engagement session no one truly ever knows what to do with their hands?

Since this will most likely be your first photoshoot together and since you’re more than likely not professional models, learning some basic tips and tricks like “where to put those hands” can make all the difference! We will help guide and prompt you both, making you feel comfortable and natural together. You’ll already know what to expect on the wedding day! Your wedding day will be full of emotions, including nerves. Having time in front of the camera before your wedding will allow you to gain confidence in having your picture taken. This is super important because it will allow the emotions that you want to capture to shine through! We want you to see the love that you share together instead of being anxious or nervous.

One piece of advice

If we could offer one piece of advice for your engagement session, it would be to dress-up! Grab that fancy cocktail dress or suit out of your closet, head to the nearest shop to buy somethin’ a little fancy, borrow a piece from a friend, or rent an elegant dress or two! We encourage you to match each other in terms of dressiness and choose a location that compliments your outfits. There’s nothing quite like getting all fancied up for an amazing and special occasion and your engagement session is exactly that – a celebration of you two, your love, and your engagement!

Make It your own

We always encourage our couples to make their session their own. So pick somewhere new, somewhere exciting, somewhere that’s you. We love sharing laughs, hiking trails, climbing rocks, and exploring just about anywhere. Capturing the raw emotions in moments between the moments.

Think about the uses

Your engagement photos will work for you in so many ways! Not only will you have amazing images of you and your love to adore and treasure, but you can also put your images to use by using them creatively during the wedding planning! Frame your images and hang them to decorate your new home together, frame them for your parents and family (think Christmas or birthday gifts!), use them on your Save-the-Dates or wedding invitations, display them at your bridal showers or wedding reception as decor, create a unique guest book or simply use them to personalize your own wedding website.
