Cheap and Easy DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Box
Having trouble figuring out what to get your bride tribe? Same here! Getting crafty is all fun until the price is through the roof! So let’s keep it on the reasonable side.
First, start by thinking about what your gals need to use for the BIG day. Practical gifts are incredibly helpful for them and even better if they can use them after the wedding! Products with their names and title, like a t-shirt or cup, are super cute but will they ever use them out in public again? Not me! In these boxes, I made sure each product would be helpful, cute for the wedding, and practical for afterward.
The items I choose for my special ladies were a button-down shirt to wear while getting their hair done, a wooden hanger I was able to then personalized with my Silhouette to cut out white vinyl to hold their gowns on, and a stainless steel wine tumbler as I know both of them to have a favorite hot and cold beverage to sip. All of these products I found at an incredibly reasonable price at the local Walmart, Target, and TJMAXX. I spent less than $30 in total! Cheers all around for your wallet!
$14.96 – Walmart – Time and Tru Women’s Button Front Shirt with Rolled Sleeves in Blue
$5.00 – Target – Made by Design 4pk of Wooden Hangers in Black
$7.99 – TJMAXX – Hyrapeak 12oz Stainless Steel Wine Tumbler in Cobalt
Now if your anything like me, cute wrapping is a must and this is where it could get spendy. The hanger was the largest product. After searching around, a robe box was the perfect fit from Walmart. I purchased the white 2 pack for only $4.57. Since I only have two ladies this was perfect. If you have a bigger crew, look for a larger pack online or possibly a party store nearby! For the filler, I love shredded crinkle paper. Crinkle tends to be more expensive. I purchased smaller packs for $0.97 each at Walmart and I needed 6 of them to fill the 2 boxes I needed. If your budget is in a pinch, tissue paper is an easy find for little to no cost. It comes in sooooo many colors too. Just crinkle and tuck tightly and the inside of your box will look fabulous! To close the box, Hobby Lobby was my golden winner with a variety of ridiculously cute ribbon. Using the weekly ad to my favor, I got the ribbon at such a great price! The eyelet trim I used around the shirt was only $3.00 and a satin light blue ribbon to wrap around and the entire box for only $2.00.
$4.57 – Walmart – American Greetings White Robe Gift Box, 2 Count
$3.00 – Hobby Lobby – White Eyelet Decorative Trim With Scalloped Edge – 1 3/4″
$1.50 – Hobby Lobby – Light Blue Double-Face Satin Ribbon – 7/8″
My gals loved their gift and were so appreciative to special touches I had for them!
